NVIDIA Quietly Uploads New Linux Driver
To those that missed it in our Phoronix Forums where it was discovered, NVIDIA two days ago uploaded a new binary Linux (x86/x86_64) driver to their FTP server. This NVIDIA graphics driver is marked as the 260.19.26 beta, but they have yet to officially announce this new release or even provide a change-log.
We've now been waiting 48 hours for NVIDIA to publish a change-log for this beta driver release, which NVIDIA's Christian Zander was working to track down, but still no list appears to be available. Though given that 260.19.26 is not too far out from their current Linux driver release, 260.19.21, we don't anticipate this release being particularly exciting.
Initial reports also indicate that this Linux driver release still lacks support for Fermi overclocking on the GeForce 400/500 series or multi-card SLI support. Those interested in fetching this very latest NVIDIA Linux driver anyhow can find the FTP links in this thread.
