Jos Poortvliet has written more information about the Bretzn project, the effort to provide a multi-distribution application framework and effectively a "app store" for Linux.

The new information can be found on news.opensuse.org, but it's largely relevant to all distributions involved (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Mageia, etc). It's a good read if you're interested in the matter. There's also a video (embedded below) of using the Qt Creator plug-in for Bretzn.

Besides the project being named very well (and Bretzn going so well when drinking an Augustiner), hopefully some distribution is already working on a supported application store named Obatzda. (For anyone that understands that remark, you may be interested in an OpenBenchmarking.org Bavarian preview or Phoronix Munich meet-up in two weeks.)
