openSUSE 12.1 Reaches Beta

The beta release of openSUSE 12.1 was released on Saturday in time for various openSUSE "beta pizza parties" being held around the world.

The openSUSE 12.1 Beta release is what was to be called openSUSE 12.1 Milestone 2, but the SUSE developers felt it was time for reaching beta on 12.1.

Among the features of openSUSE 12.1 is Snapper support for the Btrfs file-system, complete Tumbleweed integration, KDE Software Compilation 4.7, GNOME 3.2, GCC 4.6, RPM 4.9, continued work on migrating to systemd, and various other changes.
