Wine 1.9.2 Released: Finally Presents GStreamer 1.0 Support
Wine 1.9.2 was released this morning as the newest bi-weekly Wine development release.
Wine 1.9.2 presents GStreamer 1.0 support, support for SHA hashes in BCrypt, underlining support in DirectWrite, more Shader Model 4 (SM4) instruction support, and various other bug fixes and changes. In total there are 41 known bug-fixes for Wine 1.9.2.
The support for GStreamer 1.0 in Wine dates back to this bug report from 2012. It took a long of wrangling by many Wine developers, but it's finally there.
In going through the Wine 1.9.2 release announcement there are some more changes on the Direct3D 11 support, but it doesn't appear to be usable yet for those wanting to run very modern Windows games on Linux.
