Wine 2.17 Brings DirectWrite & Virtual Memory Improvements, OpenGL 4.6
Wine 2.17 is now available as the latest bi-weekly development snapshot for running Windows games and applications on Linux and other operating systems.
Wine 2.17 changes include better support for grayscale in DirectWrite, per-application StartupWMClass in desktop files, virtual memory compatibility improvements, palette handling improvements in WindowsCodecs, and reply message improvements in WebServices.
There are also 20 known bug fixes this time around from Steam to Gorky 17 to various other games like Skyrim.
Also updated for Wine 2.17 is its OpenGL DLL has been updated with the new extensions/changes of OpenGL 4.6.
