All of the staff here at Phoronix are large supporters of First Person Shooters, so when offered the chance to test an optical mouse unlike any other we have seen and is designed for one purpose, gaming, we sure as hell leapt for joy. This mouse offers an 800 DPI high-resolution optical sensor but its main characteristic is its unique shape, similar to a 9mm Glock pistol. But how does this pistol mouse compare with the regular, run-of-the-mill mouse? Let's find out as we examine MonsterGecko's Pistol Mouse FPS.

Features:

 Aluminum Triggers
 Over-Sized Gecko Gel Scroll Wheel
 Gecko Gel Removable Grips
800 DPI High Resolution Optical Sensor

After removing the Pistol Mouse package from the shipping container, we were rather impressed with the packaging itself. The package is constructed out of cardboard with several graphics on all of the different sides, and then on the front of the package is a fold out door, and when opened you're able to see the actual gun housed nicely in a plastic mold. After opening the box up all that was left was an instruction manual, and the actual MonsterGecko Pistol Mouse FPS.
