Installation:

Setting up both LCDs were quite simple. Not having any fancy conduit running along the back of the LCDs to conceal the data and power cables, until coming in contact with the base, we simply plugged in the 15-pin VGA analog cable into the rear of each LCD followed by the power cable. When both cables were secured, we attached the diametric ends to the power source and graphics card, respectively. Attaching the LCD monitor and stand to the base was quite simple. Simply lay the base on a flat surface and push the monitor onto the base, until you hear it latch.

As our graphics card in this testbed had a VGA and DVI connection, we used a DVI to VGA dongle for one of the displays. Installation is self-explanatory; the AL1715b can be turned on and controlled by using the buttons in the bottom of the display.

Performance:

After making sure all of our packages were all up to date, we set up our system display settings by editing the xorg.conf. To assist anyone who has experienced troubles setting up dual head under FedoraCore3 with a NVIDIA graphics card or are simply interested, we have posted our xorg.conf on the following page.
