The AlexNet results aren't much of a surprise but rather just show the latest performance of high-end cards like the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 Pascal cards. It is interesting though that the CUDA AlexNet performance of the GTX 1050 Ti is about in line with the once considered mighty powerful GTX 780 Ti Kepler card.

The Googlenet results also aligning with expectations and showing how the GTX 1050 series aren't too bad, if you are on a very cheap budget and looking to upgrade from say a GTX 680 or older Kepler low-to-mid range GPU.
