Examination:

Like all of the high performance Titanium series memory from OCZ Technology, our modules came equipped with titanium-mirrored heatspreaders. Unlike many of the heatspreaders we often find on cheaper RAM, these were built of pure quality. They were noticeably thicker than other stock and aftermarket heatspreaders we have seen previously. Furthermore, the heatspreaders came in complete contact with all of the memory chips. Not only is the construction good, but the appearance is quite astonishing. However, if you wish to maintain the attractive appearance, be forewarned that these OCZ heatspreaders easily keep impressions of fingerprints and dirt. On both sides of the modules is an OCZ Technology logo in the center of the heatspreaders, while on one side is also the product sticker. The sticker contains the PN (OCZ4001024ELDCTE-K), speed (PC 3200), memory timings (2-3-2-5), and memory title (512MB EL Dual CH Titanium Edition).

Underneath the heatspreaders are Infineon memory chips. The specific model of these Infineon memory chips are HYB25D256800CE-5. OCZ Technology has this RAM timed at 2-3-2-5 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) while running 400MHz DDR. Also featured with this RAM is Enhanced Latency (EL) Technology and Ultra Low Noise (UL2) technology. The EL technology allows the memory modules to run at lower latencies than normally possible on most standard memory modules, according to OCZ, and the UL2 reduces the amount of electrical noise by using various PCB manufacturing techniques. The PCB used on the Titanium PC3200 modules is from BrainPower.
