Conclusion:

Studying our comparison of the Crucial DDR2-800 PC2-6400 against the Corsair XMS2 PC2-5400UL, when clocked at similar speeds and timings, there were very diminutive differences between the two sets of RAM both being powered by Micron ICs. In some instances while running at 680MHz and 800MHz, the Crucial RAM outperformed that of the Corsair, but in other instances, the results were flip-flopped. Although the Crucial PC2-6400 modules may not overclock greatly beyond their stock specifications, they did perform competitively at stock speeds and possess a lifetime warranty, aluminum heatspreaders, and quality packaging material. As far as the pricing goes, the 2 x 512MB set of Crucial's DDR2-800 4-4-4 modules are presently selling for approximately $200, which is quite inexpensive compared against the XMS 5400UL that sell for $250 or OCZ's DDR2-800 Platinum that is valued at $240. Although the lack of overclocking abilities may not satisfy the demands of overclocking enthusiasts, for the modest user looking for some high-frequency lower-latency DDR2 modules the Crucial DDR2-800 PC2-6400 may be for you and ranges in size from 512MB to 2GB.
