BIOS:

Entering the BIOS, ASRock bases their setup off AMI's v02.58 template. The BIOS we had loaded was the official M0.31 Revision B. As usual the various pages are main, advanced, h/w monitor, boot, security, and exit. The main page displays the total memory and its configuration along with the CPU information and BIOS version. Under the advanced page are all of the various configuration pages, while under the CPU and Chipset areas are where the overclockers and enthusiasts will be attentive. In the CPU configuration page, the CPU frequency and PCI Express frequency can be adjusted with the maximum CPU value being 275MHz. ASRock's B.F.G. (Boot Failure Guard) can be enabled/disabled as well as AMD's Cool 'n' Quiet Technology. Other adjustable values include the processor maximum voltage and multiplier. Below the CPU information are the various memory options from the clock speed to adjusting the memory timings. The CAS latencies supported by the official BIOS is 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0. Through the Chipset page, the CPU Northbridge Link Speed and Width as well as Southbridge Link Speed and Width can be altered. In addition, the DRAM voltage has its small adjustments as well as the HTT to PCI Bridge Decode Scheme. The maximum voltage increase available is simply high, which supplies a very diminutive increase in the memory voltage. Moving to the hardware monitoring page, the CPU and motherboard temperatures are visible in both Celsius and Fahrenheit along with the CPU and chassis fan speed and the various voltages.
