Jul-18 2006 -- Results have been updated to use an ATP Card Reader.

Conclusion:

With a 150x CF speed rating, the theoretical transfer speeds should be up to 22.5MB/s read and 18MB/s write, however, we simply did not see those numbers today. However, the Secure Digital cards were also evidently slower than their ideal speeds under Linux hdparm. Even so, the ATP ProMax Compact Flash did prove to be tough and durable with its water resistance, and it has been tagged with being dust proof, ESD proof, and extreme temperature resistant. The safe temperature ranges are from approximately -25°C to 85°C. On top of all of this, ATP Electronics does back their products with a 5 year limited warranty. The capacities available for these ATP CF cards are 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB. Presently the ATP AF2GCFP 150x 2GB Compact Flash card can be found for approximately $100 USD.
