BIOS:

Starting up the system we were greeted by an ASUS AI Life boot screen, and when entering the BIOS we were presented with a Phoenix AwardBIOS screen. The available pages include main, advanced, power, boot, tools, and exit. From the advanced area are the JumperFree configuration, AI NET2, PEG Link Mode, CPU configuration, Chipset, PCIPnP, and onboard device configuration. The JumperFree options include AI tuning, overclock options, N.O.S. option, CPU frequency, PCIEX16_1 clock, PCIEX16_2 clock, DDR2 voltage control, CPU Vcore Voltage, CPU multiplier, and advanced voltage control. The DDR2 voltage control can handle up to 2.50V while the CPU range goes up to 1.5625V. The CPU multiplier can be manipulated from 5x to 11x (on the X2 4200+), while the CPU FSB frequency can be increased up to 450MHz. The ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe virtually offers limitless possibilities for overclocking the processor and memory. The hardware monitoring from the BIOS includes Vcore, 3.3V, 5.00V, 12.00V, CPU temperature, motherboard temperature, CPU fan speed, CHA_FAN1 - CHA_FAN4 fan speeds, PWR_FAN speed, and CHIP_FAN speed. Performance profiles and fan warning alerts are also available from this area. One of the other options for the M2N32-SLI is an ASUS Music Alarm.
