Examination:

Except for the addition of a small LCD screen, the CaseBuy LCD EZ Power Supply Tester 3 looks very much like its predecessors. While the original EZ Power Supply Tester went with a silver look, and the EZ Power Supply Tester 2 was blue, the third revision that we have in front of us today is black. On the front of the device is the LCD along with three LEDs for indicating +3.3V, +5V, and +12V. There are also markings on the device for showing where the various power cables can be connected. On the rear of the device is the serial and part numbers.

The power supply cables that can be connected include 20/24-pin motherboard, 4/8-pin motherboard, 6-pin PCI Express, Serial ATA, and 4-pin molex connections. The only connection required for basic operation is the 20/24-pin motherboard interface.

Like our CaseBuy EZ Power Supply Tester 2 review, with the LCD EZ Power Supply Tester 3 we proceeded to dismantle the unit after we had completed all of our testing. Once again CaseBuy continues to use Young Year as the OEM for the device. The Young Year part was labeled YE-PST-IV LCD Panel Revision 1.0.
