The performance on the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P motherboard was flawless. It also allowed for superior overclocking abilities with the Core 2 Duo E6300 compared to the previous GA-965P-DS3 motherboard, which was a pleasant surprise. We were able to push the Intel E6300 to a modest 3010MHz (7 x 430) while the OCZ DDR2 was blazing away at 1075MHz. Looking at the motherboard, it's really an impressive package. The GA-P35-DS3P offers support for 45nm Intel Core 2 processors, SilentPipe 3 Northbridge heatsink, eight SATA 2.0 ports, twelve USB 2.0 ports, and Ultra Durable 2 support. This P35 motherboard also supports DDR2 memory, which is great if you are upgrading an existing DDR2 system. For alternative OS users, this motherboard worked great with various Linux distributions as well as Solaris with no major problems. At time of writing, this board can be bought for $160 USD, which is well worth the price!
