Another GNOME option for image management is using gThumb. While not as elaborate as F-Spot, gThumb supports image enhancements, resize / cropping, rotating, mirroring, reducing colors, red-eye removal, and color / brightness controls. For organization purposes, gThumb supports image comments and placing a photograph in categories. For those who prefer managing their own photographs online, gThumb supports creating web albums, which generates the HTML and an index page layout with user-defined sizes, sorting, and custom header/footers and themes. A KDE alternative to gThumb is DigiKam or KPhotoAlbum and Kallery for the image gallery generation.
