HVM was edging out Xen PV in several benchmarks with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

The benchmark results were close for many CPU-bound tests, but overall it seems Xen HVM within Amazon's EC2 cloud (at least on the c3.large instance type) is edging out Xen PV when using Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS.
