Separate from the scheduler change made for Linux 5.18, in some other workloads there were minor improvements to note for the AMD EPYC 7773X 2P server even when moving to Linux 5.17 stable compared to the 5.15 LTS kernel defaulted to on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

But it didn't take long to find Linux 5.18 indeed pushing the AMD EPYC 7773X flagship processors even further ahead.

Not all workloads benefit from this scheduler change in Linux 5.18, in which case it's just maintaining the same great performance out of Milan-X.

In some synthetic test cases are significant uplift on Linux 5.18 with this dual socket AMD Milan-X server.
