AMD Radeon 680M Graphics Are A Great Upgrade With RDNA2, Excellent On Linux
Half-Life 2 Episode Two with Vulkan and OpenGL saw the Core i7 1280P with Xe Graphics performing similar to the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U for raw performance in this Linux native game.
But on a performance-per-Watt basis, the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U was more than twice as efficient as the Core i7 1280P tested in the MSI Evo notebook.
Two of the games tested where the Intel Alder Lake P graphics outperformed the Rembrandt RDNA2 graphics on Linux were Left 4 Dead 2 and Metro: Last Light Redux -- possibly an area where it may be needing just more Mesa RADV Vulkan and RadeonSI Gallium3D driver optimizations...
In any event the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U was still showing a commanding lead for driving up the performance-per-Watt.
