Quick Look: AMD Vishera Multi-Core Scaling Performance

For some additional benchmarks to share this weekend, here are some multi-core scaling numbers from the AMD FX-8350 Vishera that launched a few days ago.

This testing is similar to the AMD Bulldozer multi-core scaling benchmarks that were conducted last year to see how well the performance scaled out to all eight-cores, except this time it's with the second-generation Bulldozer, a.k.a. "Piledriver", cores on the FX-8350. Tests were done at two, four, six, and eight cores as controlled from the ASUS motherboard's UEFI/BIOS.

These benchmarks are mostly just being put out here for reference purposes. All of the results in full can be found on OpenBenchmarking.org via the 1210261-RA-MULTICORE10 result file so if you wish to compare your Linux system's performance to these 2/4/6/8-core FX-8350 benchmarks, simply run phoronix-test-suite benchmark 1210261-RA-MULTICORE10 to conduct a fully-automated side-by-side comparison to these results.
