AMD A8-3500M Llano Linux Benchmarks

Cryptography is no issue for Llano.

Llano is also able to handle NASA's NAS Parallel Benchmarks quite well.

From the two days we have had to remotely play with Llano, the performance results for the A8-3500M APU have been stunning. Llano is one hell of an upgrade for AMD as they better position themselves to compete with Intel and their latest Sandy Bridge micro-architecture. The A8-3500M Fusion APU appears to be a terrific product, but we can't draw a full conclusion until we've had more time to actually test the hardware in person so that we can run battery power consumption tests and examine this latest hardware more closely under Linux. Regardless, we can at least say now that AMD's Llano should be able to run fine under Linux if using a modern distribution (e.g. Fedora 15, Ubuntu 11.04) and using the proprietary Catalyst graphics driver.
