The open-source Xonotic game offered superior performance on Mesa 8.1-devel over Mesa 8.0.4 on the tested R600g-covered graphics cards except for regressing on the Radeon HD 4870.

Overall, the Mesa 8.1-devel performance is looking up for the R600g driver, except there are a few regressions that we can hopefully see worked out before the official Mesa 8.1 release in August.

Stay tuned for the other Mesa 8.1 driver benchmarks that will be published in the coming days.
