The newer OpenArena release (v0.8.8) that finally takes advantage of GLSL and other modern OpenGL functionality also saw performance improvements for the tested Evergreen and Northern Islands hardware except for the Radeon HD 5830 and Radeon HD 6450.

Xonotic at 1920 x 1080 with low quality settings saw nice performance improvements too. The Radeon HD 5830 was also back up to seeing improvements out of the Linux 3.5 kernel while the crippled Radeon HD 6450 graphics card just didn't want to budge.
