AMDGPU vs. Radeon DRM With Linux 4.14 On GCN 1.0/SI GPUs
Now onto the OpenGL vs. Vulkan performance for these GCN 1.0 GPUs when using the AMDGPU DRM driver for RADV Vulkan compatibility.
Similar to our OpenGL vs. Vulkan tests with newer AMD graphics cards, the OpenGL render is still a little bit faster with RadeonSI over RADV Vulkan.
As mentioned already, Dawn of War 3 with Vulkan was the only case where the GCN 1.0 graphics cards on AMDGPU were not able to run.
