Metro Last Light Redux is still one of the games where it doesn't perform as well in general with the RadeonSI Gallium3D / AMDGPU-PRO drivers. The Radeon RX 480 performance was coming in between the GTX 960 and GTX 970. The performance for this game is much better with RadeonSI Gallium3D over AMDGPU-PRO.

Tesseract is also another game where the RX 480 and R9 Fury performance remains between the GTX 960 and GTX 970 under Linux.

Xonotic is another game where the open-source AMD Linux driver performance tends to be more competitive with the NVIDIA Linux driver. For Xonotic at 4K with ultimate image quality settings, the Radeon RX 480 when using AMDGPU-PRO was coming up just under the GTX 980 Ti. But for this game when using the RadeonSI fully open-source driver stack the RX 480 performance dropped below that of a GeForce GTX 970.
