Is Antergos Arch Linux Really Faster Than Ubuntu, Fedora?
Antergos currently has GCC 4.9.0 over Fedora and Ubuntu in their stable releases using GCC 4.8, but for most systems I haven't found many significant performance gains out of this newest GCC compiler release when rebuilding the common test applications as done automatically by the Phoronix Test Suite.
For many of these computational benchmarks, there was little in the way of performance differences between Antergos Arch Linux, Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 LTS, and Fedora 20.
