The Performance Impact From Different Arch Linux Kernel Flavors
When it came to compile-time performance, consistently leading to the longest build times was using the Arch Linux hardened kernel with the extra kernel work there in the name of security slowing down the build times of software. There wasn't much variation out of the other four Linux kernel options on Arch Linux.
The SQLite speed benchmark also showed much slower embedded database performance when running on Arch Linux's hardened kernel.
The hardened kernel was performing the worst with GIMP and Darktable photography/imaging software too. The stable kernel and Zen kernel options tended to perform the best for these creator software packages.
