Amazon's New EC2 M7a AMD EPYC "Genoa" Instances Deliver Leading Performance In The AWS Cloud
When Amazon introduced the Graviton3 processors they had a leg-up over AMD and Intel in various areas while now AMD has pushed the computing envelope further... It will be interesting to see how AWS will go with presumably Graviton4.
For those looking at the M7a instances for build farm purposes or CI/CD, the build speeds with the m7a.16xlarge instance was great.
The OpenSSL performance was excellent for the M7a instance with a huge speed-up generationally and outperforming the competition. The OpenSSL benchmarks were also among the few areas where the newer Graviton3E instances had a distinct advantage over Graviton3.
