Turning A Basement Into A Big Linux Server Room

Everything of the original basement was gutted... The hideous drop-down ceiling followed by the wood panel walls and carpeting, etc.

It was a great winter project that took about one month to complete of working on it roughly full time by my wife and I.

I've long enjoyed construction work for being great stress relief, relaxing the mind after technical work, and just being fun. Doing the work ourselves also kept the cost to a minimum.

Behind the panel walls were basic Styrofoam insulation, which was left, after first making sure there were no moisture issues at any point along the concrete foundation.
