Dota 2 at 4K with both OpenGL and Vulkan saw the KDE/GNOME Wayland sessions shaving off just a few frames though in the case of KDE Wayland on Vega was slightly faster, but with some variance in the results. As far as the KDE Plasma vs. GNOME Shell gaming performance, the numbers remain largely in line with these competing desktop environments.

Dawn of War 3 with Vulkan at 1080p was another case on the high-performance Vega graphics card with having roughly the same performance across the board while on the RX 580 using Wayland led to just a couple frames lower performance.

When ratcheting up the resolution for Dawn of War 3, the Radeon GPUs continued looking good across the tested desktops / display systems.
