First up with BioShock Infinite, we see the R9 290 is running faster on the experimental AMDGPU DRM code than it is on Radeon DRM, but still it's not enough to make the Hawaii graphics processor run faster than Catalyst.

With Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the performance between AMDGPU and Radeon on the R9 290 was the same.

When running DIRT Showdown, similar to BioShock Infinite, there is a measurable increase in the frame-rate using the AMDGPU driver. The boost here is about 20% faster, but Catalyst remained the fastest option for the Radeon R9 290.

Metro Last Light Redux saw no change in performance when swapping out the DRM driver.
