Clear Linux Continues To Maintain Slight Graphics Lead Over Ubuntu 16.10
Well, those are the results for the games capable of running under Clear Linux. It's not exactly a gamer's distribution even though it's faster due to not having all of the dependencies to be able to satisfy Steam, etc. Hopefully Valve will end up rolling out a native 64-bit client in the not too distant future. The results of these tests are nevertheless fun to look at.
Outside of graphics, Clear Linux continues to lead over Ubuntu 16.10 in many of the compute-intensive tests due to its aggressive default CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS and various package optimizations. Fresh Linux distribution comparisons will be coming up shortly with Ubuntu 16.10, Fedora 25, openSUSE 42.2, etc.
