CompuLab Fit-PC2 NetTop

The dimensions for the CompuLab Fit-PC2 are just 101 x 115 x 27 mm. Yes, the entire system is that small! Below you can see its size in comparison to a Dell Mini 9 and a Razer Copperhead mouse. The weight of the Fit-PC2 is merely 370 grams. CompuLab states that the power consumption is merely six Watts when the Atom Z530 is under low CPU load or eight Watts at full CPU load. When the system is standby there is less than one Watt being consumed and 1080p H.264 video playback should consume seven Watts or less.

This small computer is made of a 100% aluminum die-cast body that is very nice. On the front are three LED indicators, two mini USB 2.0 ports, the power switch, an IR receiver, and a miniSD slot. The Fit-PC2 logo is stamped into the top of the aluminum housing. While the Fit-PC2 arrived with a 2.5-inch 160GB Hitachi HTS54501 SATA HDD, a new hard drive or SSD can be easily installed by removing two screws from the bottom of the unit that then allows the disk drive to slide out. The rest of the system components are not easily swappable due to the very small form factor of this device.

On the back of the CompuLab Fit-PC2 is the +12V DC power connector, WiFi antenna connector, Gigabit Ethernet port, four USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output, and audio line-in and line-out with a secondary line input for a microphone. The four standard USB 2.0 ports are great along with the HDMI support and then the included DVI adapter. There is sufficient connectivity with this computer for a unit of its size and target applications.

The CompuLab Fit-PC2 motherboard is loaded up with a standard Phoenix BIOS.
