From the bottom of the Intense-PC2 is where there's a removable metal panel to access the DDR3L and 2.5-inch disk drive connections -- very easy access! The WiFi chipset is also exposed via this panel.

CompuLab does offer the Intense-PC2 in several different configurations -- including a barebones variety for those that have extra DDR3L and 2.5-inch HDD/SSD you wish to reuse in the fanless system.

The ports on the rear panel include dual Gigabit Ethernet (one of the ports supports Intel AMT), DisplayPort, two HDMI, +12V DC IN, two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, three COM ports, and two audio jacks. The power button and WiFi antenna connections are also at the rear. Thanks to the improved Intel Haswell HD Graphics capabilities, all three monitor connections can be used simultaneously.

For the most part, the Intense-PC2 looks just like the Intense-PC -- just with beefier components on the inside.

At the front of the Intense-PC2 (IPC2) are two more USB 3.0 ports and LED indicators for user/sleep, HDD, and power.

If you're buying a pre-assembled system, the only assembly comes down to connecting the wireless antennas and plugging in the system.
