The graphics cards I tested for this launch-day comparison were:

- Radeon R9 285
- Radeon R9 290
- Radeon RX 480
- Radeon RX 560
- Radeon RX 580
- Radeon R9 Fury
- GeForce GTX 780 Ti
- GeForce GTX 950
- GeForce GTX 960
- GeForce GTX 970
- GeForce GTX 980
- GeForce GTX 980 Ti
- GeForce GTX 1050
- GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
- GeForce GTX 1060
- GeForce GTX 1070
- GeForce GTX 1080
- GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

The system used for benchmarking was powered by an Intel Core i7 7700K, MSI Z270-A PRO motherboard, 16GB DDR4, Samsung 950 PRO NVMe SSD, and was running Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS x86_64.

My NVIDIA OpenGL/Vulkan Linux tests were done with the 381.22 release. The Radeon OpenGL tests were done with the Padoka Steam PPA that's tracking the bindless-texture patches atop Mesa 17.2. However, the RADV Vulkan tests in turn were done from the mainline Padoka PPA with Mesa 17.2-dev as RADV on the Steam PPA branch was immediately running into issues. The Linux 4.12 Git kernel was used for both the RadeonSI and RADV tests.
