Out of 110 tests ran across the four distributions, Fedora Workstation 33 was winning half of them followed by Clear Linux leading in 30% of the tests and then Ubuntu 20.10 and Manjaro 20.2 each picking up wins 10% of the time.

Coming in last place most often was Ubuntu 20.10 on this Dell XPS 13 9310. Those curious about all 110 benchmarks in full can find them over on OpenBenchmarking.org.

When taking the geometric mean of all 110 results, Fedora Workstation 33 led and came out about 6% faster than Intel's Clear Linux or about 14% faster than the likes of Ubuntu and Manjaro. While Clear Linux generally leads with its aggressive optimizations on desktops and servers, in this ultra-thin Intel EVO notebook Clear Linux continuing to push the Tiger Lake processor to its limits often resulted in greater thermal throttling that was in turn hurting it for a number of the tests.
