XWayland Linux Gaming Performance With GNOME Wayland On Fedora 21
Xonotic also saw significant performance drops when running through XWayland on this latest Fedora 21 configuration.
The performance overhead of running on a Wayland session and going through XWayland for these older OpenGL applications is still very noticeable. Stay tuned to Phoronix for our continuing Linux graphics benchmarks.
