Firefox 70 Linux Performance, Firefox 70 vs. Chrome 78 Benchmarks

The JetStream performance was basically flat.

With CanvasMark there is a slight uplift to the performance on Firefox 70 but certainly more so with WebRender enabled where this HTML5 canvas test really performs much better.

Likewise, MotionMark performs much better too with WebRender enabled.

Lastly with the JavaScript Speedometer benchmark its performance was flat compared to the recent Firefox releases.

If taking a geometric mean of that data, the stock Firefox 70 performance comes in slightly lower than Firefox 69 but the WebRender performance is slightly faster -- namely due to the MotionMark / CanvasMark results. From stock to enabling WebRender is a 15% improvement.
