With the SQLite benchmark, the BSDs came out ahead of Linux. FreeBSD 10.3 and 11.0-Beta 4 were both using the ZFS file-system, which trailed slightly behind DragonFlyBSD 4.6 with HAMMER. The 11.0-BETA4 performance does appear to regress slightly for SQLite compared to FreeBSD 10.3.

While Postmark isn't much of a good disk benchmark anymore, the FreeBSD 11.0/10.3 performance with ZFS was right behind Intel's Clear Linux with EXT4.

FreeBSD was right behind DragonFlyBSD when it came to the Rodinia OpenMP benchmark using the stock compilers on each OS.

With FFTW, FreeBSD was faster than DragonFlyBSD but behind Ubuntu and CentOS 7.
