The first place we see performance gains with ZFS and CAM-ATA is with PostMark where its performance increased to the point of delivering 44% more transactions per second.

With a real-world test of measuring the time to unpack the Linux kernel source-code package, using the new ATA infrastructure was actually slower.

Turning to Threaded I/O Tester results, with eight threads of 32MB writes, the ZFS file-system with the CAM infrastructure was faster by just 8%.
