Aside from the GeForce GTX 750 Maxwell running a bit slower on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with the 334.21 driver compared to Windows 8.1 with the 335.23 driver, the performance was relatively close between platforms with the GTX 770 even leading under Linux. The binary NVIDIA Linux drivers are known largely to be of similar quality -- both in terms of performance and features -- with the code-base being mostly shared between platforms. One of the rare missing features from the modern NVIDIA Linux graphics driver is the current lack of overclocking support for Fermi, Kepler, and Maxwell GPUs.

The OpenArena results were next to identical between Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

The demanding Unigine Heaven OpenGL technology demo had run at about the same speed between platforms for all three of the modern graphics processors.
