HITMAN 3 Runs Well On Linux With Steam Play - Open-Source Radeon Performance Especially Good

Even with 1080p ultra quality visuals, the Radeon RADV performance was still coming on strong. The GeForce GTX 1650 averaged just above 60 FPS for this game at 1080p with ultra quality settings while a Radeon RX 590 Polaris averaged about 101 FPS.

At higher resolutions too with ultra quality visuals, the Radeon Mesa RADV performance for this Windows game running on Steam Play was in great shape - it's looking like all of Valve's open-source AMD driver optimizations are paying off at least. With 4K ultra quality settings the Radeon RX 6800 XT was at 120 FPS to the RTX 3090 at 113 FPS.

A look at the frame times as well exposed by HITMAN 3...

The Windows build of HITMAN 3 is running great on Linux and with ease thanks to Steam Play. Any modern discrete GPU seems to be performing well with this game. I haven't encountered any driver issues from the past several days of benchmarking. Most surprising out of the testing was the especially strong Radeon performance with the Mesa RADV driver stack.
