It was initially a shock seeing F1 2018 running so well on Steam Play considering this Direct3D Windows game has been out for only several months. At 1080p even the lower-end parts didn't have too much of a battle running this formula one racing game.

At 1440p, the R9 290 or so is the cut-off on the Radeon side while the GeForce GTX 970 could still handle this game fine. The RADV vs. NVIDIA Vulkan performance was looking good.

At ultra high quality settings at 1440p, the GTX 1070 was performing measurably better than the RX Vega 64. These cards though still could easily run above a 60 FPS average.
