Benchmarks Of Intel's Latest Linux Microcode Update

In some of the I/O benchmarks, the bare metal performance was observed to have slightly lower performance while the VM performance was mostly unchanged. In our previous L1TF/Foreshadow benchmarks we actually found the I/O performance in VMs to slightly benefit from the Foreshadow patches due to less locking contention.

With that said, MariaDB did see slower performance on the bare metal system while the VM guest came out slightly ahead.

In the more CPU-focused tests, there weren't any major changes to find for either the bare metal system or the single KVM virtual machine.
