The results were rather close between the AMD Sempron LE-1150 and Intel Celeron E1400, both of which operated at 2.00GHz. Of course, when overclocking the Intel CPU the results were slightly better.

Running the vDrift racing game with either of these CPUs and the GeForce 8400GS is an unplayable experience, although the Intel CPU was about a half frame faster.

The dual-core Celeron CPU obviously was faster than the single-core Sempron CPU when it came to code compilation with GCC. It took four and a half minutes for PHP 5.2.9 to build on the Sparta-based CPU but just less than three minutes for the Allendale CPU. When the E1400 was pushed to 2.65GHz, it took just over two minutes to complete.
