The Core i5 2400S benchmarking was done on the same system as the Core i3 2120 Linux testing. The Linux support is no different from the other Sandy Bridge processors, so for that I will quote from the previous review.

"If you're intending to use the integrated processor graphics, you will want the Linux 2.6.38+, Mesa 7.11, and xf86-video-intel 2.15.0 and later. However, as there have been a number of bug-fixes and performance optimizations, the most ideal situation is Linux 3.0, Mesa 7.11 / 7.12-devel, and xf86-video-intel 2.16.0. Ubuntu 11.10 is in pretty good shape for SNB Linux graphics. If you're not concerned about using the Intel HD 2000 graphics, using Ubuntu 11.04 "out of the box" should work just fine in terms of compatibility with the Cougar Point motherboards and other areas of the system."

The benchmark results are with an ASRock Z68 Pro3 motherboard, 4GB of RAM, and a 60GB OCZ Vertex 2 SSD. An Ubuntu 11.10 development snapshot is the base operating system while the Linux kernel was upgraded to a Linux 3.1 snapshot and the xf86-video-intel DDX and Mesa were also upgraded (same configuration as the i3-2120 review).

For comparison are the Ubuntu results from the Core i3 2100, Core i3 2120, Core i5 2400S, and Core i5 2500K.
