The Xeon CPUs run marginally faster for video encoding.

When it comes to the performance-per-Watt, the Xeon E5-2687W v3 was inching ahead of the i7-5960X while the E5-1680 v3 had fallen a step behind.

The E5-2687W v3 jumps ahead of the others when it comes to x264 video encoding performance.
