Intel's stock heatsink fan solution for the Core i5 processors is not very different from the Core i7 heatsink and other recent Intel stock designs, albeit with slight modifications for the LGA-1156 socket, but with the same pushpin design.

With our Intel review kit we also received a Thermalright MUX-120 heatsink. This cooler is designed solely for the LGA-1156 socket and encompasses four heatpipes with 48 aluminum fins. Pushing air between these aluminum fins is a 4-pin 120mm fan. A pushpin retention system is also used for the MUX-120.
