The C-Ray multi-threaded ray-tracer saw a very significant speed-up in using the latest L4T release.

The OpenSSL performance also saw a nice boost from the NVIDIA Linux software updates.

The move from CUDA8 to CUDA9 also means some performance improvements too.

Overall, from the fresh tests using the latest Linux 4 Tegra components, the performance has near universally improved a fair amount compared to the software stack shipping on the Jetson TX2 back in Q1'2017.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the NVIDIA Jetson Xavier Development Kit performs particularly with its machine learning / tensor benchmarks and will be working on getting access to the hardware soon.
