Next up is Serious Sam 3 BFE that was recently updated to the Fusion 2017 code-base with Vulkan.

When running at low image quality settings for Serious Sam 3 BFE, the Radeon RX 580 was faster than the GTX 1060 with OpenGL when tested on the Pentium and Core i7 CPUs although NVIDIA came out ahead slightly with the Celeron.

But when it comes to the Vulkan performance with Serious Sam 3 BFE, NVIDIA's performance was better. On the NVIDIA side when going from the Celeron CPU to the Core i7 was a speed-up of 37% while with RADV from the Celeron to Core i7 was a speed-up of just 18%.

When running Serious Sam 3 BFE with ultra image quality settings, there was much less of a difference in the results from swapping out the CPUs due to the GPUs now being kept busy.

In this scenario, the OpenGL and Vulkan performance was close across the six tested combinations.
